“There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who reject false deities and believe in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.” (al-Baqarah:256)
islam is so tricky, it leaves people confused, this verse is saying you have freedom of religions, and most importantly it is saying that if you believe in allah your faith will never break, its contradicting itself.
one verse says the only purpose of our existence is to worship him
and here he says he can save whoever he wants, but he will put us in hell too.
the top verse says it our choice to believe in islam, but this verse say something completely opposite
”Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.” (Q47.23)
we really dont have a choice according to islam, you dont have freedom of religion, or freedom of speech. your a slave who has to submit to Allah’s will. thats islam, Quran gives you so many different verses on the same subject contradicting each other, Quran is not sure. it is ambiguous
