Science vs Religion

Science and Religion are portrayed to be in ha...

SCIENCE AND RELIGION ARE PORTRAYED TO BE IN HARMONY IN THE TIFFANY WINDOW EDUCATION (1890).

Religion is a dogmatic belief which is based on hearsay and mythology while Science is based on facts, logic and reason. Religion, and the existence of God has never been proven. It has only been recorded on books written by people who lived hundreds of years ago. You cannot prove that Moses split the red sea in half, or Muhammed split the moon. You cannot prove that Solomon talked to Animals or built a palace in the sea. You cannot prove that ‘jinns, demons and angels’ exist. Religion is blindly believing in the unseen. Most of the ‘miracles’ of religion have never been proven to exist.

Thus, you cannot prove the authenticity of religious books.

The important difference between science and religion is that religion comes with ABSOLUTE statements, that neither can be proved or disproved, and science evolves from relative truths and statements, that can be testified and proven false (which means: science has to develop, in order to replace (partly) untrue theories, and replace them with better ones).

Science does not claim it has absolute knowledge on anything. Religion claims it has.And also, belief in a creator does not open up a person towards religion. There are many Theists that do not believe in religion because they believe that religion is man made.

Religion is illogical because there is a lack of evidence to support the colossal claims made by religion (all of which lack evidence to support the claim). As evidence deals with natural things, it leaves out the supernatural. The supernatural simply does not exist. Religion is very unhealthy for the human mind as it requires people to believe in the supernatural and the probability of miracles, all of which makes you believe in someone else’s imagination. Science is very healthy for the human mind as it increases your knowledge about everything that exists.

On the other hand science does not accept the belief in supernatural phenomena as it deals with natural phenomena. And science does not requre an intelligent creator for the universe to exist. Evolution can also never be linked to creationism, because they are both opposites. Also, it was not only Muslim scientists who who set the stage for the advancement of learning, technology and disciplines in science that we know today. Aristotle, ptolemy, greek and chinese phylosophers had a great impact on Muslim scientists, and also the latter western civilization.

The Quran says Allah has explained how He created everything in the universe and brought all life out of water.

There is no evidence to suggest that Humans werre ‘created’ from the Earth. Rather simple bacteria evolved from the process of Abiogenesis. A common misconception of Abiogenesis is that bacteria evolved from simple chemicals, but the process is more complex.
